Print on demand suppliers

When I started making art I knew I wanted to sell it. I always had an interest in interior design, right back in my uni days when I made a series of wallpapers for my final project. I’ve done a load of different things since then and now I’ve gone full circle.

My main worry about selling my art wasn’t if I actually sold it (believe it or not)….it was being lumbered with loads of stock I couldn’t shift. And that from past experience is a bit of a pain and pretty demoralising.

The amazing thing is that now there are so many amazing print on demand printing services which are available and don’t cost the earth. It also means you can test different product lines and drop quickly what doesn’t work.

Here are some of my favourites (discount code with theprintspace):

Printful is integrated with shopify and squarespace and has a catalogue of product templates you can use to test your designs. It was my first supplier and it’s global warehouses mean you can cast your net wide. My criticism would be I would like more choice in the finishes and materials but was a good way to get started and experiment with my designs. It’s easy once you have got your sale in to release it directly their and can make fulfillment of your orders super easy.

If you want a 50% discount to give them a try then use PVNVNQ5 in your order. They also have amazing illustrations by Marylou fare dotted throughout their website and you can hold all your work through their creative hub platform which I’ve not made the most of yet.

Print Work are an absolutely lovely bunch of people that are friendly, helpful and have really competitive prices on their print runs and offer eco friendly alternatives for the eco conscious business. They’re based in Leeds (which once living in Yorkshire makes me happy) They also feature the artists they print on their social media channel which I think is cute touch.

I really like how you can view the stocks they offer for different effects and finishes.

I am always exploring new suppliers and fulfillments, of course I want to try and reduce my carbon footprint and do things in the best way possible but it’s good to have these options to help you test without massive investments. If you have any other suggestions drop me a message? I’m always on the hunt.

Thanks for reading and hope it helps. x
